About Mathematics Department
The Department of Mathematics, Government Degree College Nerwa, was established in 2009. The department is facilitated with two lecture/seminar room and one faculty room. At present, the department has one regular faculty member. Students can do two courses of duration 3 years under this department, namely B.Sc. Physical Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and B.Sc./BA with Mathematics.
The main aims of the department are to encourage and enable students to develop mathematical curiosity, become confident in using mathematics to analyse and solve problems both in college and in real-life situations and to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to pursue higher studies in mathematics.
Department also believes in providing quality education in mathematics and to develop competitive spirit among students. The Department is committed to achieve excellence in the field of teaching.
