G.D.C Nerwa was established in 2002 and English department came into existence on the same date. Since then department is actively involved in teaching learning process,making students learning of English language.Departent has 1 big class room and a big hall for classes.department teaches many courses as prescribed by Himachal Pradesh University for B.A . classes. More than 600 students belong to this department.they study various courses like discipline specific courses & compulsory courses to get acquainted with English literature, ability enhancement course develops their writing skill.skill enhancement course to enhance their understanding of creative and technical aspect of literature, discipline specific courses prepare students for corporate sector and generic elective courses acquaints students with women empowerment &Indian society and literature from Himachal.So English department actively involved in shaping the future of the students.
