Political Science
The Department of Political Science at Govt College Nerwa was established in 2002, when the college was taken over by the state government from S.D. College, Nerwa. Since its inception, the department has been offering undergraduate courses and has played a significant role in promoting higher education in the region of Chopal.

The UG programme focuses on core areas including political theory, Indian government and politics, comparative politics, international relations, public policy, democracy and governance, political thought (Indian and Western), legal literacy, and the socio-political landscape of Himachal Pradesh.
