Recognizing the importance of physical well-being and all-round development, GC Nerwa provides a range of sports facilities for students. The college encourages participation in both indoor and outdoor games, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. Indoor Sports Facilities The college offers indoor sports such as Table Tennis in a dedicated room. The college also provides a table tennis room, badminton court, and carom board with stand. A visitor attendance register is maintained for the Table Tennis facility.
Gymnasium The gymnasium is operational and equipped with essential gym equipment. A visitor log is maintained by the Department of Physical Education. This facility is regularly used by students.
Outdoor Sports Facilities The college’s playground, measuring 28 bighas, is regularly used for sports and fitness activities. The college also provides a kabaddi mats.
Sports Equipments The college has sufficient equipment for sports including Javelin Throw, Discus, Shot Put, Table Tennis, Gym, and Volleyball.
Sports Activities & Training The Department of Physical Education organizes training camps for both men’s and women’s teams in Kabaddi and Volleyball competitions. Coaching is provided in different games and sports for students and local youth by a kabaddi coach deputed in the college. Various co-curricular and sports activities are held under the auspices of the Department of Physical Education, promoting values like teamwork and leadership. An Annual Athletic Meet is conducted.
Sports Achievements The college has won a 1st Prize in Folk dance in the Sports Youth Festival Programme at the District level (which also includes cluster level).
Collaboration for Sports The college collaborates with peer educational institutions, facilitating exchange of resources and expertise, such as the Kabaddi coach training students from neighboring institutions and offering its playground and sports equipment to other schools and colleges free of charge.
